History

Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering formerly known as the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (established in 1973). At that time, it included the Civil Engineering, Geodesy Engineering, Architecture, Planology, Environmental Engineering, Art and Design Department.

In 1984, the Art and Design Department changed into the Faculty of Art and Design. Furthermore, by the Decree (222/SK/K01/OT/2005) about the Management and Academic Units of ITB, the number of Faculties/Schools in ITB which previously consist of seven (7) Faculties/Schools to be the eleven (11) Faculties/schools. Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning also its name changed to be Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Furthermore, the Architecture and Planology Department changed into the newly faculty namely the School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development. Therefore, in 2006 Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering consist of four (4) study programs; Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geodesy and Geomatic Engineering and as well as Ocean Engineering Department.

Based on the Decree of the Rector, Number 257/SK/K01/OT/2007 about the Moving of Geomatic Engineering and Geodetic Engineering Program belong with Research Groups in its own study program from FCEE to the Faculty of Geological Science and Technology, since 2008 FCEE only includes the Civil Engineering, the Environmental Engineering, and the Ocean engineering department.
In 2012, the newly Study Programs were established namely Environmental Infrastructure Engineering Undergraduate Program (RIL), Water Resources Engineering and Management Undergraduate Program (TPSDA) and Water Supply and Sanitation Infrastructure Management Graduate Program (PIAS). Therefore, since 2012 FCEE ITB organizes 13 Study Programs (undergraduate, master and doctoral degree program).
