Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory as shown in Figure below has various equipments that can be used for laboratory tests in soil mechanics and geotechnical field analysis. Some of the equipments are:

Civil Engineering students usually use Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory during their Mechanics of SoilI and II (SI-2221, SI-3121) course. The equipment in the Laboratory are shown below:

  1. Permeability Test, for determining the soil permeability
  2. Unfined Compression Test, for determining consistency of soil
  3. Direct Shear Test, for determining the Shear Strength of soil
  4. Drilling Machine, for soil investigation
  5. Cone Penetration Test, to determining the friction value of soil and end bearing
  6. Triaxial Test, for determining the Shear Strength of soil
  7. Consolidation Test, for determining index compression of soil
